Bandhavyalu is a story that revolves around a family’s struggle to get by. Narender is simple man who loves his family very much. But hailing from a poor farmer’s family, he faces a lot of financial problems in completing his education. Many wedding proposals fall apart for his younger sister, Shakuntala, as his father cannot afford to pay the dowry. Narender’s father decides to get him married first so that he can use the dowry money from Narender’s wedding to get Shakuntala married. But Narender is in love with a girl from his college, Sujatha and plans on getting married to her. So now, Narender faces a tough choice to make, he can either please his father by getting married to someone he doesn’t know and save his sister’s future or he can marry Sujatha and disappoint his father. The show shows the plight of all these intriguing characters and the story that ensues.
